Draymond Green spoke to the media today during his end-of-season interview.

A reporter asked: “If Steph Curry had been healthy, do you think you guys could’ve won the championship?”

Draymond replied:

"Of course I believe that. But I also won a championship when Kyrie and Kevin Love were injured. If they hadn't been hurt, I still believe we could’ve won — but no one truly knows what would’ve happened."

"That’s the realness of sports — injuries are part of the game. You can’t say injuries don’t matter when things go your way, and then turn around and say, ‘If Steph didn’t get hurt, we would’ve won the title.’ You can’t do that. I’ve benefited from those situations before, so when I don’t benefit, I have to respect the reality."

"We won a championship because we were great — but yes, Kyrie got hurt, Love got hurt, Robert Williams got hurt. That’s the nature of sports. Unfortunately, this time luck wasn’t on our side. Steph got hurt. But we’ve been there before — Kevin Durant got hurt, Klay got hurt — you have to acknowledge that injuries happen every year. Sometimes it’s your team, sometimes it’s someone else’s. When it goes against you, you can't just say, ‘If this or that had happened, we would've won.’"

"The world isn’t perfect — you’ve got to accept the good and the bad. The Timberwolves beat us. No matter who we had out there, they beat us. We’re a playoff team, and they’re moving on. I’m sad that Steph couldn’t play — I really feel for him — but I would never say the Timberwolves got lucky. They didn’t. They beat us fair and square. We have to move forward and come back next year!”
