The NBA Finals will G3 (tip off for Game 3) in two days! In yesterday's Game 2, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton had a mediocre performance. Statistics show that Thunder star Luguentz Dort has become his "kryptonite" on the offensive end, and analyst Kendrick Perkins even bluntly stated that Haliburton is unlikely to explode in Game 3.

Haliburton had an underwhelming Game 2, playing 34 minutes with 7-of-13 shooting (3-of-8 from deep), scoring 17 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks—but committing 5 turnovers, tying his playoff single-game record. He shot just 2-of-7 for 5 points in the first three quarters, and though he scored 12 in the fourth, it couldn't help the Pacers rally, leading to him being subbed out early as the game became decided.
In the first two Finals games, when defended by Dort, Haliburton has shot just 20% from the field and recorded only 4 assists. So far in the Finals, he's averaging 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 1.5 blocks, with his most memorable moment being the Game 1 buzzer-beater.

On his struggles, Haliburton said: "Every time I drive to the paint, it feels like five guys are surrounding me. We know the paint is key to the game and our formula for success. The more we attack the rim, the better offensive opportunities we create. The key is finding the right time to take threes. If we just pass mechanically and force threes at the shot-clock buzzer, the game gets tough. I've had two poor first halves—need to figure out how to start stronger."

Analyst Perkins predicted about Haliburton's Game 3: "I don't believe he'll explode. We're talking about one of the best defensive teams in NBA history. Even Nikola Jokic had his worst playoff series vs. OKC. They shut down Anthony Edwards—these are elite scorers, and Haliburton isn't a scoring threat (18 PPG in playoffs). Facing Caruso, Dort, and Cason Wallace, I doubt he can perform well in that physicality."
