In Game 1 of the Finals, Tyrese Haliburton was relatively quiet for most of the game, but he hit a 0.3-second buzzer-beater at the last moment, contributing 14 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and a +12 plus-minus rating for the whole game.
Haliburton has delivered a phenomenal performance in this year's playoffs. He has made 4 game-tying or go-ahead shots in clutch moments, averaging 18.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 46.6%.

In the Pacers' offensive system, Haliburton can not only play as the (ball-handling core) but also play off the ball when tightly defended, allowing players like De'Vonte' Graham, Bennedict Mathurin, or Pascal Siakam to take the ball.
"His playing style with and without the ball is very unique," said an executive from the Western Conference when evaluating Haliburton.
"This makes him a bit like Stephen Curry."
Haliburton obviously still has a long way to go to reach Curry's height. Curry has won two MVP trophies, four championship trophies, and has made more three-pointers than any other player in history. However, whenever Curry is on the court, the defensive side will always feel pressured.
The Pacers' offense under Haliburton's control also often presents the defensive side with the same arduous task. Part of the reason is that Haliburton's playing style allows the Pacers to pursue egalitarianism.
"Haliburton can make long passes to advance the ball, initiate offense through dribble hand-offs, and play pick-and-roll tactics, so he can get every teammate involved in the offense," said a scout from the Western Conference. "Therefore, Graham will go all out on defense because he knows he will get the ball and shooting opportunities."
"I didn't expect Haliburton to progress like this. He has shown more abilities because he can make his teammates better. Every teammate is placed in a position to succeed. Now these players have become the best version of themselves because they are full of confidence and have fully exerted their abilities."
